Get ready for an interactive, immersive health career experience with simulated scenarios that brings healthcare to life!

- Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This event is a unique collaboration between The Cairns Regional Jobs Committee, Queensland Health, CheckUP, Health Gateway to Industry Schools Program and health organisations across Queensland. Designed as an industry immersive event, it will connect students with industry leaders and open doors to exciting jobs and careers in acute healthcare, wellness health, allied health and social services.
The expo features live demonstrations, mock health facilities, and information booths offering insights into school- based traineeships and work experience opportunities. Teachers won’t miss out, with professional development sessions scheduled throughout the day. Parents are also invited to register and attend, along with community members keen on discovering the diverse career opportunities within the health sector.
This invitation is extended to students in years 9, 10, 11 and 12. Each school will be allocated a 2-hour time slot from 9-3pm to explore the exhibition, with no limit on the number of students who can attend, although they do need to be interested in a career in Health! Each school must ensure adequate supervision of their students. With so many career possibilities and as the largest employing industry in our region, a career in health is a smart choice.

The #GoHealth Careers Expo provides an exceptional opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their organisations, services, and career opportunities to tomorrow’s health workforce! Exhibitors will be encouraged to incorporate interactive elements in their display have the flexibility to choose from various display options, ranging from static stands to practical demonstrations, allowing students to engage firsthand with the dynamic world of healthcare. High School students, teachers and parents from across South-East Queensland will be invited to attend along with community members keen on discovering the diverse opportunities within the health sector.
