Role Description:

  • Medical Receptionists work to ensure the smooth running of Medical Practices and provide administrative and customer service support. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting patients as they arrive, booking appointments, managing payments, monitoring stock levels, and collecting patient details.

Where you might work:

  • You can work in a variety of settings including private general practice, specialist, and allied health clinics.

Personal attributes:

  • As you will be the first point of contact for visitors of the medical facility, you must have excellent communication and customer service skills, including on phone calls. You must have a high regard for privacy as you will be working with sensitive information. Additionally, Medical Receptionists work with specialty software, so having great computer skills is a must.

Salary:

  • Middle of the range starting salary in Australia: $35,200
