A Health Services Assistant supports clinical staff in the care of patients. You can work in a variety of roles, but the core aspects of the work involve infection control and clinical cleaning of patient areas, food preparation, laundry, and patient handling and transport.

You will most likely work in a hospital or aged care facility.

This role will require a reasonable level of physical fitness as you will be undertaking manual handling tasks. Being able to work efficiently with attention to detail is very important as you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
